Is it possible to study for the ACCA if not working wholly in finance?

I currently run a manage a retail outlet and some of my work is related to the finance side of things. However it is only one part of my job.

Is it possible to study for the ACCA if not working wholly in finance?
Yes it doesn't matter what you do as long as you meet the entry requirements on this page:

however only an investment bank or accountancy firm etc would fund it for you, if your company does not you would have to pay for it yourself

Also based on the degree you hold (if any) you may be exempted from certain exams, it's all outlined on that link
Reply:Yeah, im an ACCA finalist.. Acca is not a wholly finance-related course either.. No worries, but if you don't have at least average accounting background, ACCA can be a struggle.. It also depends on where you are from, Asia-Malaysia and Singapore highly values ACCA qualification, but not so in countries like USA and Australia where they have their own accounting system..

ACCA is not a finance paper.. You learn tax, audit, law, finance, business management in it..

Reply:you can complete a home study course.
