How many additional classes would it take (after a 4-year degree) to be considered sufficient in finance?

I am almost finished with a pretty random liberal arts degree, but I would like to go into international finance. How can I do that?

It depends on what you want to do in finance. I am a college career counselor and most of the time employers are pretty flexible about the student's major. They are usually looking to hire someone with a specific skill set not always acquired in a classroom. You may have to pass certain licensing exams before you can get a specific job but you may be able to study on your own for those rather than taking more classes.

Go to the career center at your college they should be able to help you figure your next step. You may ask about conducting an informational interview with an alum. usually a career center can set this up and give you tips. Good Luck!
Reply:yeah, that's going to be alot. you should have did a minor in finance or business.
Reply:You should find out what International Finance company you like the best and just start at the bottom. It may take some time to get where you want to, but you have to start somewhere.
