With all the problems that our economy is suffering, is Finance a good course of study for these times?
Is Finance a good major to study right now?
I'd say that Accounting may be better. It allows you as many or more business opportunities and a greater degree of job security since as a CPA you are, in essence, your own business. If there is serious economic downturn, you could always make a living doing taxes, bookkeeping, auditing, or in payroll.
